A POUND class is a high-energy, 60-minute group fitness "cardio jam session". It combines cardio, Pilates, isometric movements, and plyometrics to create a full-body workout that burns between 500-900+ calories.

Key Aspects of a POUND Class:

  • Ripstix®: Instead of traditional dumbbells, participants use lightly weighted, neon-green drumsticks called "Ripstix" to create a beat while working out.

  • The Vibe: It is designed for all fitness levels, ages, and abilities, focusing on letting loose and "becoming the music" rather than focusing on complex choreography.

  • Muscle Targeting: The continuous, rhythmic drumming and squatting movements target core, leg, and glute strength, and help sculpt, tone, and burn fat.

  • Stress Relief: The movement is designed to be an outlet, allowing participants to release tension.

  • Structure: A typical class consists of 12-15 tracks, with each 2-4 minute song focused on a different area of the body or type of movement.
